Review / CARMEX Lip Balm Cherry

Carmex Cherry Lip Balm - £2.69 - LINK

It's back to basics with this blog post but it's also a new purchase for me. This cold weather is my skins worse nightmare, it doesn't know whether it should be dry or oily meaning break outs are prone. However one part of my body I can protect from the cold is my lips. I popped out a few weeks ago to get some sort of lip moisturiser, I had the original Carmex, invented by Alfred Woelbing in 1930s, in mind but they only had the Cherry flavour. I am not a fan of cherry flavoured things but I've heard such great things about Carmex that I went for it.

Firstly, I love the packaging. It's very bright and seems almost pop art inspired, due to the colour it's really easy to find in your handbag too. The application of this lip moisturiser is incredibly hygienic as you never need to touch the product with your finger. I am not a fan of the pot addition of any brand lip products as sticking your dirty finger in the pot then touching your skin can't be good for you. As well as the pot and squeezy form, they sell a stick of their original formula and their moisture plus range.

This is definitely the best lip product I've used. The formula moisturises and softens my lips after one application. It's very rare to use something and see an immediate result. I also enjoy using it as it creates a slight tingle on your lips on any dry patches, meaning you feel it absorbing into your lips and getting to work! The cherry flavour is not too intense and I can't say I really notice it any more. This is definitely a must have Winter product and something I'll confidently recommend.

Let me know what you think of Carmex lip products!
