Lifestyle | Disneyland Paris x Food,Snacks & Treats

When it comes to food in Disneyland Paris you can either choose to buy a meal plan package or just choose where you eat each day. The meal plan definitely is something that I'd do if I go back as it saves you money with the more expensive table service restaurants and means that you've planned all your meals in advance. We had breakfast included with our Hotel as we were part of the Golden Forest Club at Sequoia Lodge but we had to find places to eat lunch and supper and let me tell you that wasn't as easy as we would have hoped!

The main piece of advice I shall bestow upon you is to book in advance! If you're hoping to eat at one of the popular restaurants such as; Bistrot Chez Remy, Agrabah Cafe, Waltz An American Restaurant, Captains Jacks Restaurant, Auberge de Cendrillon, Cafe Mickey and Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show, then definitely ring in advance (up to two months) to ensure you won't be disappointed. These restaurants are all very pricey and most of the above only offer set menu options which start from around $30 and range up to $77.

We ate at Bistrot Chez Remy and absolutely loved it! It was a highlight of our holiday and we definitely want to try out some more of the table service restaurants as the food was of such a high standard. The theming at Chez Remy was clever and made it a fun environment, if you were sat at the end you could see the ride too. I chose the $39.99 set menu and had carrot soup, steak and ratatouille and finally tiramisu, I enjoyed every part of the meal but I was surprised that a drink wasn't included with the amount being charged.

We also booked Buffalo Bill's Wild West Dinner Show and we went for the later time slot of 9:30pm. The show was a lot of fun and the food was good, I had chilli and corn bread to start then chicken, veg and potatoes and finally a warm apple cobbler with ice cream. The pudding was definitely the stand out part of the meal. I'd definitely recommend going to this show, it was nice to have some evening entertainment as the park closed at 8pm in the week and hotels don't offer any evening entertainment.

We hadn't booked for any of our other meals which was nice on one hand because we weren't restricted to times and could just walk past somewhere and decide to eat but on the other hand we did struggle to find food at lunch times. The queues were unbearable for food on the weekend and even the Mcdonalds was completely rammed pack with people. A lot of the lunch meal deal options in the park also just consisted of burgers, chicken nuggets, hot dogs and chips and after having that once we didn't want to keep eating it! For other dinners we went to Annettes Diner and Planet Hollywood.

There is a good array of sweet snacks available in the park such as the infamous Pineapple Whip! This is the Parisian version of the Dole Whip and the main difference is the soft serve ice cream in Paris is vanilla not pineapple. This is basically a coke float but with pineapple juice and it just works! You can only get this in the Aladdin section right by Agrabah Cafe. I also really liked the sweet popcorn and that makes a great snack for watching the parades or fireworks! There are a few popcorn stands in main street. Other treats available included, crepes, hot drinks, donuts and cookies. A lot of the snack bars did good offers if buying a warm drink and food and there was also the option of having souvenir cups and straws.

If you want something extra sweet then do not fear as there are tons of options! They have tons of toffee/chocolate apples, lollies and even Mickey Mouse macarons! This particular stand was in Disney Village and definitely had the best choices.

Finally make sure to check out the shops for snacks as a lot of the biscuits they were selling worked out cheaper to buy than the individual cookies at the stands.

Make sure to visit a bar in the Disney Hotels as they sold amazing mocktails and cocktails which came in souvenir light up cups and had light up ice cubes (glowtini).

So there we are that's a little look into food, snacks and treats at Disneyland Paris! I'd love to hear what food you recommend!
