Oh 'ello stranger! I've been really busy these past couple of weeks working and have decided to set aside this evening to write a post for you. Not only did I save this evening, I was incredibly organised and took these pictures at 6am before leaving for work! Writing blog posts, especially reviews, is a lovely way to unwind!
So I have an ickle make up review for y'll today! Mac recently collaborated with Trolls to create a crazy colourful collection. I love their limited edition collections, mainly for the cool packaging! I am still sad that I wasn't into make up when their Barbie one was released, as I'd have loved to have owned something from that collection. I am actually not a Trolls fan, however I do think they look ultra cute with their funky fuzzy hair and Mac have managed to create a wearable collection.
If you are wondering these are the items in the collection:
5 Eyeshadows - £14 each
3 Glitters - £17.50 each
4 Lipsticks - £17.00 each
3 Lipglass - £16.50 each
2 Beauty Powder - £24.00 each
2 Coloured Hairsprays - £17.00 each
1 Make up Brush - £38.00
See this LINK to see all of the colours available.
I bought the beauty powder in 'Play It Proper'. This is a light shimmery pink powder highlighter. The perfect natural shade for anyone with pale skin. Their other beauty powder is a golden shimmer for tanned complexions. The bright pink compact is tacky and reminiscent of kids 90's make up which is perfect in this instants as it fits the theme. I also like that it has a mirror as it doubles its use in my make up bag!
I have been on the look out for a powder highlighter since my cheapy MUA one broke. I knew I wore that a lot and wanted something higher end which had a smoother and more natural finish. This is a very soft powder with a slight shimmer which hits the light. With the theme being Trolls I assumed all of the products in the collection were going to be really over the top but this is surprisingly subtle and pretty.
I'd love to hear if you've tried anything from the range. When I bought this the only thing which had sold out was the coloured hairspray. I was surprised that people were buying that the most so wondered if Mac ordered the least of that as thought not as many people would buy it?!
I shall be planning a few more posts so that I can get back on my blog upload schedule which is Wednesday and Sundays at 11am.
