I've been loving all the back to school posts and youtube videos recently, the stationary hauls are great, the tips and advice on confidence and how to make the most of your education are also great. However, the make up looks for school are confusing me. As a video I enjoyed watching them, there were some really pretty natural looks created but why on earth are these for school?! I am sure most of you, like me, had a strict no make up and no nail varnish rule. I remember once being sent to the nurse office to have my nail varnish removed after I had them professionally done for a party and wasn't very happy, but I guess a rule is a rule! I just can't imagine ever have gotten away with wearing so much make up for school, surely someone would have noticed my eye lids aren't naturally a gorgeous shade of taupe, nor do my cheeks blush a baby pink and neither do my cheek bones gleam when the light hits them.
Maybe going to an all girls school made me not worry about how I looked, I guess going to a mixed school as you get older can cause you to feel more image conscience. Though I'll let you into a little secret my brother, boyfriend and friends whom are boys all said they prefer a natural face to all made up as they find too much make up intimidating.
School is for learning! Don't mess up your chance of doing amazingly well academically because you keep nipping to the toilets to powder your nose and you're too busy worrying about how much contouring you can get away with. How about saving that for birthday parties and when you socialise on the weekend and impress everyone with your brain and natural beauty in the week! I absolutely love make up, it's fun to put on and I like the final outcome but I am 20 and finished school and do believe there is a time and a place for it.
Thought it was only fair to include my no make up face, this is a first on my blog!
I hope you enjoyed this post and take my advice on board!!
KEEP SMILING
