Beauty | Cleansing Brush - Worth it ? Or a waste of money?

I think cleansing brushes were a bit of a trend this year and it's taken me a very long time to finally jump on this bandwagon! I didn't want to invest a lot of money into it, so at first I bought a manual one which I got bored of pretty quickly and didn't bother using but recently I found one in Primark for £15 and the extra brushes for £3.50. As it's Primark and they are a fast fashion quick trend store, I stocked up on two spare heads for the brush as I assume this won't be in the shop for too long! The brush came with a stand which is so handy for storing the brush inside your bathroom cabinet or by the sink.

Brush Cleanser and Stand - Primark - £15 |  Gentle Cleanding Brush Head -  Primark - £3.50 | Mario Badescu Acne Facial Cleanser - £14 - Urban Outfitters |

So what is it? A 360 rotary soft brush which removes dirt, makeup and dead skin.

How does it work? Simply pop in two AA batteries and then click the button once for a slow speed, twice for a quick speed and three times to turn it off!

What better way to cleanse my sins away (and by that I mean all of the Halloween candy I've eaten and the fizzy pop I can't stop drinking) ?! This really is the perfect beauty tool for the lazy gal as it automatically cleans your face in seconds. It eliminates germs being spread from your hands and that annoying moment when you lean down to the sink to wash your face and all your hair falls forward and gets wet!

I've been using it for awhile now and I've found it works best if I first remove my makeup with a wipe, wet my face and then put my face wash directly in the little hole in the middle of the brush, i've been using the brush with the Mario Badescu Ace Facial Wash. The rapid movement brush gives your skin an intense cleanse, meaning if you have sensitive / acne prone skin it's advised to only use a few times in a week. I did find that it broke me out with tiny bumps in the first week of using it, but having read a few articles etc about the brush this is expected. The little bumps went down in a few days and the quality of my skin has dramatically improved, it's a lot softer and my complexion seems clearer. This is in no way a miracle worker for acne as I still have my chin stress spots but they don't seem as aggressive as before.

To keep the brush clean simply wash with a gentle shampoo (baby shampoo) or a brush cleanser, like you would with your makeup brushes.

Overall, it's definitely a great little gadget and speeds up the skincare process whilst helping to improve your skin! I shall definitely be keeping this in my routine and perhaps upgrading to a more expensive model when Primark stops selling the brush heads! I'd love to know if you've been using any cleansing brushes and how you find them?!
