Every girl and her mother is enhancing their brows at the moment, I do wonder if this has all derived from IT girl Cara Delevingne and the brows that define her! I too like to fill in my sparse brows but I really do not like the fake drawn on look so have been on the look out for a natural alternative, without actually being 100% natural! Benefit recently came out with gimme brow which is basically a mascara for your eyebrows, at first it seemed like a rather strange concept to me as mascara for your eyelashes hardens as it dries and that wasn't something which I wanted to happen to my brows, don't worry I promise this doesn't do that!
gimme brow - £17.50 DIRECT LINK
The product is available in light/medium and medium/dark, I am not sure how different the two shades are but I am guessing it is extremely dramatic as I use the light/medium and my grandmother who has black hair was also advised to use it, so the dark must be incredibly dark! The wand is a lot shorter than a mascara wand with only 6 rows of bristles on the brush.
To apply the product you start at the beginning of your brow and make small strokes to mimic your hairs, I tend to touch the skin slightly so the fibres attach easier. Obviously add as much or as little product as you want. I still feel like a little bit of brow powder wouldn't go a miss, it makes your brow shape that bit more defined and fills in any gaps that this product has missed!
It is an excellent product and achieves a natural brow really well, I do find it has a bit of a funky smell though which luckily doesn't linger and for what it is I do feel it is overtly overpriced and I am sure the high street brands will follow in their footsteps so keep your eyes peeled!
