I was so excited to go to the studio tour of Harry Potter, I
am not actually a huge Harry Potter fan, in fact I couldn't tell you half of
the characters names, let alone the storyline! But I did really enjoy all of
the films and I think the behind the scenes people deserve this recognition.
This tour is really fantastic for any prop/costume/scenic/animation/production
etc enthusiast!
It was safe to say I was rather excited to arrive! (ahhh
those three people that ruined my picture)
I don't want to ruin it for those of you that are yet to
visit the studio tour so I am only showing you a selection of pictures which
don't show everything!!! There are a lot of the costumes from all of the films
on display. There are also sections showing make-up and wigs, as well as the
process of the costume design to toiling to the finished garment. It's amazing
that you're allowed to take pictures to be honest because if they had been
included in the Hollywood costume exhibition at the V&A no way would you
have been allowed to take any !
With my mummy and daddy :)
Mr H. Potter
The Cupboard under the Stairs
4 Privet Drive
Little Whinging Surrey
On the Bridge to Hogwarts
Everyone I've spoken to has mentioned the Butterbeer and has had strong opinions
about it!! Personally I really liked it. My parents thought it was cream soda
with ice cream - it tasted really sweet and was fizzy. In the book it is meant
to be warm, so they haven't quite mastered this!!!!
What would an exhibition be without a gift shop? The gift shop is huge and
really nicely displayed but ridiculously overpriced! However I did manage to
find two things which came home with me - a chocolate frog keying which smells
of chocolate and a teddy bear of Fang, Hagrids dog.
Great pics! I went last year and loved it.. I wanna go again! xo

Ahhh I can't wait to visit the HP studio tours! I am the biggest harry potter fan, so when I finally get to go in summer I will be buzzing with excitement! My friend who recently went also said the gift shop is really expensive, which I think is such a shame because it's not like the company needs to make any more money from the series and you're already paying so much to get in.. Love the blog :) Rachel xx

I am sure you will love it :) Yes they are defintely rolling in money from all the merchandise made from the films.
DeleteIt would be quite cool if they made a making of for other films like Les Mis, twilight etc, it would be great to see the sets and costumes for these too and I am sure an easy way for all the studios to mkae more money for future films !
Yes shops always seem to over priced - but they know they've got you and msst people leaving seemed to have managed to ahve bought something.
Thanks for your lovely message xx
