Selfridges recently launched Louis Vuittons collaboration
with artist Yayoi Kusama. Louis Vuittons designer, Marc Jacobs met Yayoi Kusama
in 2006 and their personalities clicked with both of them being 'outsiders,
extremists and innovators and now they have come together to work on a line for
Louis Vuitton'-Vogue July 2012.
The iconic print of the almost lady bird looking polka dot, has been influenced
by the Japanese flag. Selfridges, known for their amazing window displays took
up the challenge of creating a spectacular red and white scene;
I think this window display was fantastic and what a great bit of advertising for Louis Vuitton !! All of the life sized models of Yayoi Kusama were actually made from a mold from her, so like Madame Tussards !!!
I hope you liked this post and don't foget to comment :)
Wow! I love the display! It's so cool! Did you go see it for yourself?
